Arcade were briefed to create three short animated films for Materne, a French food company best known for their applesauces in pouches. In 2024, they are launching a new range that combines fruits and vegetables for the first time, and they were tasked to produce animated films that showcase the new recipes.
Each 10sec video features a fruit and one vegetable, representing the ingredients in the pouches.
The style was designed to make the fruits and vegetables look friendly but realistic, with detailed textures and simple faces, arms, and legs. The eyes and mouth were created separately to give the characters a playful, expressive look while maintaining a natural feel.
