Batch brought financial literacy to life for younger learners with a playful, character-driven film that explained the difference between credit and debit. The result was a classroom tool that balanced accuracy with fun, making money concepts easy to understand.

We Are Batch partnered with Nearpod to make financial literacy accessible for younger learners. The goal was to explain the difference between credit and debit to children aged 7 to 11 in a way that was accurate, clear, and engaging.

The Challenge

Nearpod needed to turn a technical financial concept into something simple enough for the classroom without losing meaning or relevance. The challenge was to strike the right balance between educational accuracy and kid-friendly storytelling.

The Approach

Batch developed a playful 2D style filled with bright characters and visual metaphors that made abstract ideas easy to grasp. Information was broken into bite-sized moments and paired with expressive animation and light humor, keeping the content fun and relatable.

The Process

The team began with research into how children understand money and decision-making. This informed a storyboard that broke the lesson into clear steps, with each moment reinforced by simple visuals. Character design played a key role, giving young viewers characters they could relate to while guiding them through the story. Animation was kept fast-paced but clear, ensuring the teaching moments were never lost in the humor.

The Results

The final film delivered content that both teachers and students could use with confidence. It presented financial literacy in a way that was accurate for educators, simple for learners, and entertaining enough to keep children engaged. By turning a technical subject into a playful narrative, Batch helped Nearpod bring an essential life skill into the classroom in a format that was both memorable and fun.
