Hero Wars come to Japan! To celebrate this fact Petrick created a video about a short but epic battle, in which a young Japanese man helps Thea to defeat her nemesis - Looter Shark.

Thea Design: Mad Beauty
Egor Afonin, Art Director: We strived to make the characters not only attractive, but also a bit crazy and comical. The geometric approach to design allowed us to experiment with contrasting proportions, enhancing the emotional component of each shot.

Looter Shark Design: A Toothy Nemesis
Vova Orlov, Director: Drawing anime means competing with the Japanese in the “away” match. That’s why we decided: no anime whatsoever, we’ll draw big-headed European characters instead! They will be moderately cute and cheeky. Of all the characters, my favorite is the shark. The shark opens its mouth in a very weird way, and its rolling eyes and belly make it a funny antagonist for Thea.

Other Character Designs: Rescue Team
Vova Orlov, Director: The narration in the video is a collective image of typical anime series: huge characters fighting, expressive stances, flash cutting, slo-mo, lots of stunning special effects, absurd toilet and kink humor, and, in the end — friends who come to the rescue in time of need.

Environment Design: Space Formula
Egor Afonin, Art Director: We used simple geometry, colorful accents, and plenty of blue sky, as well as stunning visual effects. This formula helped us create a harmonized and memorable environment that perfectly complements the dynamics of the plot.

Creative and Production: Petrick Animation Studio.
